This could just be me and my weirdness…but anyone else get the impression that maybe only the Dopplegangers can ever know or love each other as they should/want/need to be loved. Like joining two reflections into one reality until they merge and are indecipherable from each other. They are Katherine and Elena. They are both each other and can choose to be the same or different but always whole in each others company….
